- Student Learning Support for Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. This opportunity is open to UAE Nationals and focuses on supporting individual pupils and groups inside and outside the classroom. The role assists teachers with learning activities, pupil records, behaviour support, supervision and individual education programmes while helping students participate fully in school life and supporting their academic, social, emotional and physical well-being. Main Duties
- Support individual pupils and groups inside and outside the classroom.
- Help pupils participate fully in a range of activities during the school day.
- Support pupils ' social, emotional and physical well-being.
- Take a proactive approach to health and safety.
- Assist with the implementation of individual education programmes.
- Help monitor pupil progress against agreed support plans.
- Support pupils with additional needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties.
- Help pupils develop appropriate social skills.
- Assist class teachers with maintaining pupil records.
- Prepare and present displays of pupils ' work.
- Support teachers with photocopying and other classroom-related administrative tasks.
- Support the aims and values of the school.
- Follow relevant health and safety requirements, legislation and school policies. Academic Support
- Provide academic assistance to pupils as directed by the class teacher.
- Deliver group instruction prescribed by the teacher.
- Provide individual instruction when required.
- Demonstrate instructional activities and learning tasks.
- Monitor work assigned by the teacher.
- Check and correct pupils ' work while activities are in progress when directed.
- Help pupils remain focused and engaged with assigned learning.
- Praise and reinforce pupil achievement.
- Report pupil progress and observations to the teacher.
- Reorganize classroom materials at the end of the day. Supervision and Behaviour Support
- Check pupil attendance as required.
- Supervise pupils in classrooms and other school locations.
- Support development and implementation of the school 's behaviour expectations.
- Promote pupil confidence and self-esteem.
- Encourage appropriate behaviour and positive relationships.
- Respond to misbehaviour in accordance with whole-school policy.
- Help maintain a safe, orderly and supportive learning environment. Qualifications
- Minimum secondary school certificate.
- Bachelor 's degree is also accepted.
- English language skills appropriate to the school curriculum. Experience
- At least 2 years of experience working in a school setting.
