Set up, program at operator level, and operate CNC Horizontal Boring Machines for large, heavy-duty oil & gas componentsMachine critical parts such as valve bodies, wellhead components, flanges, manifolds, spools, and pressure-containing equipmentRead and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, API specifications, and customer requirementsAlign, level, and secure large workpieces using precision fixtures, clamps, and alignment toolsSelect, install, and set cutting tools, boring bars, and tool offsets suitable for alloy steels, stainless steels, Inconel, and other oil & gas materialsEdit CNC programs at the machine (tool offsets, wear offsets, minor code changes)Perform boring, drilling, facing, milling, tapping, and contouring operations with tight tolerancesEstablish and verify work coordinates, datums, and reference pointsMonitor machining processes to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and repeatabilityInspect parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, CMM where required)Maintain compliance with API, ASME, and customer quality standardsIdentify and troubleshoot machining, tooling, or program-related issues affecting part qualityPerform routine machine maintenance, calibration checks, and housekeepingComplete required production and quality documentation, including inspection reports and job travelersFollow strict safety procedures for handling large components and heavy lifting equipmentWork closely with programmers, engineers, quality, and inspection teams to meet delivery schedules. Desired Candidate ProfileRecognized Diploma from a Higher Technical CollegeMinimum of five years practical experience of workshop practicesExperience of Oil & Gas IndustryAbility to operate HBM Machines. Ability to read Engineering drawingsAbility to select right cutting tools, cutting parameter.
