Senior Urban Designer, Dubai, UAE

Job Summary SSH is seeking a Senior Urban Designer to support the delivery of large-scale master planning and urban development projects across the Middle East. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, sustainable, and high-quality urban design solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead urban design and master planning projects from concept through delivery.
- Prepare master plans, urban design frameworks, conceptual designs, and illustrative layouts.
- Conduct site analysis, research, and feasibility studies to inform design strategies.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, planning policies, and international best practices.
- Develop technical reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, government authorities, and project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with architecture, landscape, transportation, and engineering teams.
- Support project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and design quality control. Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years' experience in urban planning, urban design, or master planning.
- Proven experience delivering master plans, conceptual designs, and large-scale development projects.
- Strong understanding of urban design principles, planning regulations, and development processes.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to lead project tasks and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, or Architecture.
- Professional accreditation such as AICP, RTPI, or equivalent.
- Experience working on GCC/UAE projects and authority approvals.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar design tools.
