The Role We are seeking a skilled and solutions-oriented IT Infrastructure Engineer to help maintain, optimize, and secure our IT infrastructure. In this part-time, fully remote role, you will support the administration of servers, networks, cloud environments, and core IT services while helping resolve technical issues and improve system reliability. The ideal candidate combines strong troubleshooting skills with practical infrastructure knowledge and the ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with IT colleagues and other business teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, configure, and monitor IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and related services.
- Support the administration of Windows and Linux server environments.
- Monitor system availability, performance, capacity, and infrastructure health.
- Assist with cloud infrastructure management across platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or equivalent services.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents, identify root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain network connectivity, firewalls, VPNs, and access controls in coordination with relevant technical teams.
- Support backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Apply system patches, configuration updates, and security improvements according to established procedures.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, configuration records, asset inventories, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, software development, and IT support teams to resolve technical issues.
- Identify opportunities to automate routine infrastructure tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and technology implementation projects. Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- Practical understanding of server administration, networking, virtualization, and infrastructure monitoring.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Linux, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and common network protocols.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
- Understanding of backup strategies, disaster recovery, patch management, and infrastructure security.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to document technical procedures and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash is an advantage.
- Ability to manage priorities independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
- Professional certifications are not required.
