- El-Fujairah, UAEWe are looking for an experienced Egyptian Second Mate to join our team in El-Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be part of a maritime crew responsible for the navigation and safety of the vessel. This is a part-time position with visa sponsorship and accommodation provided. The ideal candidate should possess excellent navigational skills, good knowledge of maritime regulations, and experience in supervising operations aboard vessels. Additionally, they should have strong communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities:
Navigate vessel according to established regulations and proceduresMonitor weather conditions and adjust course accordinglySupervise the safe loading/unloading of cargoPerform repairs and maintenance tasks on board the vessel as neededEnsure compliance with safety standards and other regulations at all timesManage crew members and delegate tasks accordinglyRemain alert at all times for any potential hazards or signs of distress from other ships or persons in the waterRequirements: Valid Second Mate License issued by a recognized maritime authorityProven experience working in a similar position (minimum 3 years)Good knowledge of navigation rules and regulationsExcellent communication skillsAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamPhysically fit for strenuous work aboard vesselsPreference given to Egyptian nationals
