Chief Investment Officer, Crypto - Dubai AP Executive is working with a stealth‐mode crypto start‐up to hire a Chief Investment Officer. The CIO will lead all AI‐driven investment strategy, digital asset portfolio construction, derivatives risk modelling, execution strategies, and fund performance, playing a key role in the platform's long‐term success. Key Responsibilities Build investment strategies including AI quant models, multi‐asset crypto portfolios, and derivatives overlays. Lead research on alpha discovery, predictive modelling, market microstructure, and volatility modelling. Oversee derivatives: options, futures, perpetual swaps, structured strategies. Collaborate with quant/AI teams to convert predictive signals into executable trades. Set portfolio construction frameworks, risk budgets, volatility targets, and leverage guidelines. Manage execution, liquidity, slippage, and overall trading performance. Evaluate tokenised assets, DeFi opportunities, AMMs, and yield platforms. Establish governance, investment committee processes, and reporting. Oversee regulatory filings, compliance, and fund administration. Qualifications & Experience 10+ years in hedge funds, digital asset management, derivatives trading, or quantitative finance. PhD/MSc in Quant Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics (preferred). Strong derivatives expertise (options pricing, greeks, volatility surfaces, structured products). Experience managing systematic or discretionary crypto portfolios.
