Assistant / Associate/ Professor - Education Leadership in Practice (ELiP)

Job Description
The Role We are seeking an academic to teach and supervise students on the MA Education Leadership in Practice (ELiP) programme at the University of Manchester – Dubai. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, research-informed teaching, undertake scholarly activity of international standing, and support the University's engagement with students and partners across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. We are looking for Assistant/Associate/Professor levels, depending on experience and research track record. Candidates with specialist expertise in educational leadership and management or related disciplines particularly in the United Arab Emirates, are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching, Learning and Programme Delivery �
� Develop and deliver innovative, high-quality teaching and project supervision on the MA Education Leadership in Practice programme, preferably in the fields of educational leadership and management �
� Review and update course content and materials regularly, in consultation with course and programme directors �
� Develop and apply innovative teaching techniques and materials that create interest, understanding, and enthusiasm among students �
� Ensure course design and delivery comply with University and School quality standards and regulations �
� Provide academic support and guidance to students in response to their queries �
� Contribute to curriculum design, assessment, and moderation, and maintain accurate and compliant course documentation Research and Scholarly Activity �
� Undertake scholarly activity of international standing, aligned with the School's research priorities �
� Engage in pedagogic and practitioner research, publishing in academic and/or practitioner-oriented journals �
� Contribute to the development of teaching and learning strategies �
� Integrate research into teaching and programme development �
� Supervise postgraduate research and projects, as appropriate to level Knowledge Transfer and External Engagement �
� Lead and develop links with external contacts and networks, including educational bodies, employers, and professional bodies, to foster collaboration �
� Participate in public engagement activity relevant to the programmes delivered through the University of Manchester – Dubai �
� Support the University's activity and engagement across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region �
� Contribute to knowledge transfer and industry engagement Academic Governance and Service �
� Contribute to internal and external accreditation, compliance, and quality control processes �
� Participate in academic committees and examination boards, as appropriate �
� Contribute to a range of administrative tasks at a strategic level �
� Work collaboratively with colleagues to apply subject knowledge to practice Student Engagement and Support �
� Provide academic advising and mentorship to students �
� Support student success, retention, and progression �

� A Final degree and a completed PhD or equivalent in a relevant Discipline �
� Relevant professional experience enabling credible, informed teaching and project supervision �
� Experience of teaching postgraduate students /or evidence of high-quality presentational skills, demonstrating the ability to offer varied, high-quality teaching in the United Arab Emirates �
� Sufficient breadth and depth of knowledge in a relevant subject area to develop and deliver teaching programmes and learning support �
� Evidence of successful scholarly activity, including publications in academic and/or practitioner-oriented journals, consistent with universities of high international standing �
� A record of knowledge transfer and external engagement, including networks with educational organisations and professional bodies, and participation in professional or practice-based forums �
� A strong understanding of business and management education in the context of the Middle East �
� Demonstrated ability and willingness to contribute to administrative tasks at a strategic level �
� Willingness to travel internationally for programme delivery and support �
� Strong written and verbal communication skills �
� A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a teaching and academic team Desirable �
� Experience with international accreditation frameworks and outcome-based education �
� Experience in transnational education �
