As a Joinery Production Manager you will oversee the entire production process ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role involves managing a team of skilled carpenters, painters, and general workers while coordinating with other departments and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities
- Team Management: Lead and supervise the production team including jointers, carpenters and other staff.
- Production Planning: Plan and schedule production activities to meet project deadlines.
- Quality Control: Ensure all products are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
- Process Improvement: Monitor production processes and implement improvements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordination: Work closely with the design and project management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels and order materials as needed.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities for the production team.
- Problem‑Solving: Resolve any production issues or delays promptly.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation. Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Joinery Production Manager or in a similar role.
- In‑depth knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in production management software and tools.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a production environment.
- Relevant qualifications in carpentry, joinery or a related field.
