Join our Smart Infrastructure Energy Automation team as the Tendering Engineer for MV Switchgear and help us re-imagine the world by finding solutions and making the world a smarter place for tomorrow.

Your Role – International, Challenging And Future-Oriented

In this role you will:

1. Be responsible for tenders for MV Switchgear.
2. Prepare cost estimates, submit quotations, follow-up quotations with customers, negotiate contracts, and hand orders over to the execution team.
3. Think outside the box within the customer requirements/specifications to come up with the most optimized technical and commercial solutions giving Siemens a competitive edge over the competition.

Activities to be performed:

1. Understand customer requirements based on RFQ and control the bid process from commercial and technical offer preparation till conclusion.
2. Focus on Medium Voltage Switchgear (Air and Gas insulated), as well as RMUs, besides Low Voltage and outdoor products.
3. Prepare technical contract documents and corresponding clarifications with clients, as well as hand over orders to the Project Management team.
4. Ensure that risks/opportunities are identified and included as part of calculations along with mitigation measures and action plans to create the foundation for successful project execution in the event of an order.

Qualification & Skills

1. Around 3 years of relevant experience in proposals for Switchgear (AIS & GIS).
2. Reasonable amount of experience in Utility/Oil & Gas verticals for switchgear.
3. Knowledge of digital protection relays (Siprotec).
4. Knowledge of Engineering and Project Management processes.
5. Good communication skills to be able to interface with customers and coordinate with the team.
6. High level of result orientation to complete optimum proposals on time.
7. Good aptitude, high willingness, and ability to learn due to ever-changing skill sets requirement.
8. English fluency.
