Job Summary:
This role will be responsible for the day-to-day support of all Linux-based Servers within the client environment, performing troubleshooting and resolving incidents. Work with 3rd party vendors, subcontractors, and support teams to effectively support the environment and achieve SLAs. Maintain service availability in excess of 99.9%. Create and maintain relevant server support documentation. Provide input into change control, project planning, and BC/DR activities. Perform general Unix support duties and schedule maintenance tasks as required.

Responsibilities:

1. Support (Identify, troubleshoot and resolve incidents) all Linux Server operating systems.
2. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve the cause of a system crash/kernel panic.
3. Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
4. Experience with Azure Cloud.
5. Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
6. Proficiency with Docker for containerization.

Key Competences Include:

1. Expert level of Scripting (Bash, Python, Perl)/Ansible and Terraform automation (command line/core)/SELinux management.
2. Thorough knowledge of Active Directory Group/User objects integration, PAM and Login scripts, including troubleshooting and reporting, LDAP, integration with Microsoft Windows Domains and its concepts, and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, network, data center, and application software, security principles applicable to Linux Server environments (CIS, NIST and ISO
3. Relevant knowledge of network protocols and network services.
4. Good understanding of SAN.
5. Ability to accurately execute RCA and provide best practice permanent solution to avoid recurrences.
6. Ability to reach proficiency to 100% within 12 months without any assistance.
7. Ability to mentor Junior team members.
8. Accountable for resolution of all critical incidents within 4-hour SLA.
9. Ability to work afterhours during critical incidents or time sensitive projects.

Experience & Qualification Requirement:

1. 12+ years of overall experience with Unix-based Server support within server environments exceeding 1000 servers.
2. Tier 4 availability (min 6 years).
3. CIS/PCI DSS environments (min 3 years).
4. RHCSAA certified for longer than 1 year.
5. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
6. RHCSE or any other relevant Linux Administration certification.
7. Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation (RHCSAA).
8. Additional OS / Services certifications (bonus).
9. ITIL Foundation Certificate v3 or v4.
