The Mold Fabricator works closely with design, production, and quality teams to support efficient and defect‑free manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities - Fabricate, assemble, and fit molds, dies, and tooling components as per engineering drawings and specifications. - Perform precision machining operations using CNC and conventional machines such as milling, turning, grinding, and EDM. - Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and mold layouts to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. - Conduct mold trials, identify issues, and carry out necessary modifications or adjustments. - Repair and maintain molds to ensure optimal performance, durability, and production efficiency. - Perform polishing, bench work, spotting, and alignment to achieve required surface finish and tolerances. - Collaborate with design and production teams to resolve mold‑related issues and improve tool performance. - Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies during all operations. - Maintain accurate records of mold fabrication, repairs, and maintenance activities. - Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, defects, and tooling costs. Essential Qualifications - Diploma or ITI in Tool & Die Making, Mold Making, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. - Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience as a Mold Fabricator or Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment. - Proven experience in plastic injection molds or related tooling systems. - Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications. Required Skills & Competencies - Strong knowledge of mold fabrication techniques, materials, and machining processes. - Proficiency in CNC and conventional machine operations. - Experience with EDM, wire cut, surface grinding, and polishing processes. - High attention to detail with strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. - Good understanding of mold components, cooling systems, ejector mechanisms, and tolerances. - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. - Basic understanding of CAD/CAM tools is an added advantage. - Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. #J-18808-Ljbffr
