JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for providing general and specialized direct and indirect patient care through the application of evidence based nursing procedures and practices to patients of all ages on assigned nursing unit. This position is also responsible for demonstrating competency in the behavioral, growth, development and psychosocial needs of patients being treated. KEY OUTPUT / RESULTS FROM THE ROLE (KPI'S) KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATOR MEASURE TARGET See Specific unit-based KPIs PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT Typical physical demands include: a high degree of manual dexterity to sufficiently perform computer functions on a keyboard, produce materials on a PC and operate basic office equipment, normal or corrected vision and hearing, exposure to communicable disease or body fluids, extensive standing and walking, working under stressful conditions and some irregular hours, handling and lifting patients, mobility sufficient to visit with departments or employees throughout CCAD and lift up to 50 lbs. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL PREFERRED Education Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification is required Minimum three (3) year curriculum in Nursing from an accredited program is required Experience Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience in an acute care setting is required Note: experience requirement is waived for graduates of UAE Nursing colleges or universities after completion of an approved internship Certification and Licensure Valid and current national license is required BLS is required from AHA or an equivalent organization, or must be obtained within 3 months of employment ACLS, PALS relevant to area of specialty is required, from AHA or an equivalent organization; or must obtain within 6 months of employment Professional Membership N/A Job Specific Skills and Abilities Strong oral and written communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Strong interpersonal skills Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously Fluency in written and spoken English Experience with electronic medical record is strongly preferred Ability to speak and write in Arabic is preferred
