Job Description For QA/QC Team Leader/Manager

Job Purpose

The QAQC Team Leader/Manager will oversee and manage the quality assurance and quality control activities. This role involves ensuring that all products and processes meet the required standards and specifications, while also leading a team of QAQC professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both construction and manufacturing, with expertise in quality management systems, standards, and best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage all aspects related to project quality assurance and quality control.
2. Update and develop company QMS and maintenance to ISO9001 standard.
3. Guide the Project's QA/QC representatives in the development and updates of company's Quality Management System for factories and projects as needed.
4. Guide the Project's QA/QC representatives in the review and assessment of Project documentation in coordination with clients, developers, designers, consultants, and contractors as applicable.
5. Review and approve project-specific quality plans, inspection and test plans, check-sheets, method statements, and related procedures.
6. Insure projects have a handover strategy as part of project implementation plan.
7. Ensure all incoming materials are checked as per the project specifications and approved material submittals.
8. Ensure that all materials are inspected internally before using in the factory or site.
9. Control and manage all inspection activities on site, ensuring they adhere to quality standards.
10. Complete and maintain necessary documentation to verify work performed and ensure full control of QAQC documentation.
11. Ensure that all inspection requests are processed and implemented effectively.
12. Verify that all test reports meet the contract requirements and are properly documented.
13. Issue and administer "Non-Conformance Reports" (NCRs), handle complaints/issues, and take necessary actions.
14. Ensure timely and effective follow-up on all NCRs and corrective actions.
15. Report to the Projects Director of any deficiencies or issues in the operation of the Quality Management & Control System.
16. Oversee and audit the Quality Management Systems of subcontractors to ensure they meet project quality standards.
17. Coordinate and facilitate internal and external client audits, ensuring smooth and successful audit processes.
18. Implement the planned training program for the project and suggest additional training requirements as needed.
19. Conduct project-based training sessions to address specific quality-related needs and enhance team competency.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
2. Extensive experience in QAQC roles within construction or manufacturing environments.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and regulatory requirements.
2. Strong analytical skills and experience in handling non-conformance reports and customer complaints.
3. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
4. Experience in managing inspections, documentation, and quality control processes.

Working Conditions

The role involves working both in office settings and on-site locations, with exposure to construction or manufacturing environment.
