Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly qualified Logistics Specialist to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the supply chain, transportation, and distribution of materials and equipment for our Oil & Gas projects in the Middle East. This position requires experience in logistics coordination for international projects, with a particular focus on the Oil & Gas sector.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Management:

1. Oversee all logistics activities related to the procurement, transportation, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment for projects.
2. Ensure that the necessary materials are delivered to the construction site on time and in the correct condition.
3. Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and contractors to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain.

Transportation and Delivery Coordination:

1. Manage the transportation of materials and equipment from their origin to the project sites in the Middle East, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
2. Plan and coordinate deliveries to meet project deadlines, minimizing delays and additional costs.
3. Perform comparative tabulation for FF.
4. Plan logistics project mobilization per project.
5. Able to perform Logistics Budgeting per project.

Warehouse and Inventory Management:

1. Oversee warehouse management at the site and storage facilities, ensuring that materials are correctly labelled, stored, and easily accessible.
2. Control inventory levels, managing material replenishments to ensure that resources are available as scheduled.

Compliance with Regulations and Safety:

1. Ensure that all logistics activities comply with local and international regulations, including safety and environmental standards (HSE).
2. Implement best practices for material storage and handling, with a strong focus on safety and risk prevention.

Cost Control:

1. Manage the logistics budget for projects, controlling transportation, storage, and material handling costs.
2. Negotiate contracts with transport and storage service providers to secure the best commercial terms.

Logistics Problem Resolution:

1. Identify and resolve any issues in the supply chain, such as delivery delays, product damage, or customs-related problems.
2. Propose solutions to optimize logistics processes and reduce operational costs.

Reporting and Communication:

1. Provide regular reports on logistics activities, including inventory management, deliveries, and costs, to project management and senior management.
2. Maintain constant communication with project teams and other stakeholders to ensure proper coordination of logistics activities.

Requirements:

Education:

1. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. (Additional studies in Project Management or Supply Chain Management are a plus).

Experience:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector and international projects.

Technical Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of supply chain management, transportation, and inventory control in the context of industrial and Oil & Gas projects.
2. Experience negotiating with logistics service providers and managing contracts.
3. Familiarity with logistics management software (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Skills:

1. Ability to coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary teams.
2. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
3. Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
4. Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Languages:

1. Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of Arabic.

Availability:

1. Willingness to travel and work on project sites in the Middle East as required.
