What You'll Do:

1. Lead and assist in internal Shari'ah audits across Islamic banking business units, products, and services.
2. Contribute to the annual Shari'ah audit plan by performing risk assessments and identifying high-risk entities.
3. Plan and document audit engagements, including risk assessments and terms of reference.
4. Conduct process walk-throughs to identify gaps, design flaws, and deviations from documented procedures.
5. Perform high-quality, well-documented audit fieldwork within strict timelines.
6. Research and assess the effectiveness of Shari'ah governance processes and record findings.
7. Test existing controls, identify vulnerabilities, and develop actionable recommendations.
8. Prepare and review Shari'ah audit reports, ensuring alignment with AAOIFI standards, ISSC, and overall Shari'ah principles.
9. Engage with stakeholders to stay updated on business changes, perform periodic risk assessments, and refine the audit plan.
10. Follow up with auditees to ensure timely closure of findings and continuous monitoring of remediation efforts.

What We're Looking For:

1. Strong knowledge of Islamic banking principles, Shari'ah standards, and audit methodologies.
2. Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, and process evaluations.
3. Analytical mindset with the ability to detect vulnerabilities and develop strategic solutions.
