Reports to: BIM Manager Direct Reports: BIM Coordinators/ BIM Modelers Job Description Summary The Senior BIM Coordinator reports to the BIM Manager as a project team member and assists in interacting with project owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to develop and analyze the virtual construction process (Specifically the Structural/ Architectural components) to maximize BIM efficiency, job cost savings, as well as enhance the quality of project documentation & delivery. General Responsibilities - Develop and implement project BIM execution plans to the latest internationally recognized BIM Standards. - Lead BIM coordination and collaboration with project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and sub-contractors. - Communicate with the BIM Manager requirements for new API tools to optimize workflows and increase project quality and profitability. - Manage the integration of project information, ensuring accuracy and consistency in BIM models. - Assist BIM Manager with planning and scheduling for example (P6 or Microsoft Office Project). - Lead, create, and Maintain BIM Models for Project Specific Requirements - Lead the development of schematic, detailed, construction & as-built level information models including modeling all Architectural /Structural components. - Coordinate with other BIM stakeholders and appointed parties. - Create new library components including custom-fabricated components. - Responsible as Model Administrator for assigned projects. - Keep BIM revision log. - Derive material quantities & produce quantity reports per appointing party requirements. - Define scopes of work, evaluate site problems and issue RFIs. - Distribute new and revised models showing changes and RFI responses. - Update and distribute documents and models to appointed parties and maintain control logs (as applicable). - Attend and /or manage model coordination meetings and document project BIM meetings. - Administrate/ Coordinate models with internal and external parties through the project CDE. - Lead project team in the development of project scheduling, time & cost simulations 4D / 5D with Project Management Tool (P6 or Microsoft Office Project) and integrating it with (Navis Works, Synchro 4D). - Identify model constructability issues and propose solutions. - Process shop drawing-level models for approval. - Assist project team with construction coordination and scheduling. - Identify model constructability issues and propose solutions. - Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team. - Demonstrate a deep interest in learning new skills and knowledge. - Provide training and technical guidance to project personnel in the use of the latest BIM tools and workflows. - Stay up to date with advancements in BIM technology and industry standards. Objectives and Goals to Measure Performance - Timeliness and accuracy in preparing BIM estimates, models, sheets/drawings, etc. - Demonstrate a deep interest in learning new skills and knowledge. - Exhibit a positive attitude towards collaboration and knowledge sharing. - Ability to work both independently as well as part of a team. - Demonstrate effective communication skills. - Ability to work with minimal supervision. Minimum Skills Or Experience Requirements - A degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent. - Minimum 5 years of project experience, with duties as a lead coordinator, BIM Coordinator, BIM Engineer, or equivalent. - Must be able to demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of knowledge and understanding of construction methods, processes, and systems. - Must be able to demonstrate intermediate to advanced working knowledge and experience with the following software applications: Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. - Must be aware of basic Authority Requirements. - Must be able to demonstrate an intermediate to advanced working knowledge and experience in Dynamo/ use & creation of Dynamo Scripts - Advanced Experience in Architectural & Structural Modelling. - Good knowledge of GIS workflows and tools. - Demonstrate effective written and verbal English/ Arabic language communication skills.
