About the Role
Requirements Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and impartial School Selection & Curriculum Consultant — UAE Region to guide families in identifying schools, curricula, learning pathways, and educational environments suited to their children's academic, developmental, social, and practical needs. The successful candidate will support families relocating to or within the UAE, changing schools, transitioning between curricula, or seeking more appropriate educational provision. The consultant will help parents understand the differences between British, American, IB, UAE Ministry of Education, Cambridge, Pearson Edexcel, CBSE, ICSE, Montessori, and other recognised educational pathways. This is an independent educational consultancy role. The consultant must provide evidence-informed guidance without guaranteeing admission, inspection ratings, school placement, examination outcomes, visa approval, or regulatory decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed consultations with parents and students Understand the child's age, year level, academic profile, interests, strengths, challenges, learning needs, language background, and long-term goals Assess practical considerations such as location, transport, budget, school hours, extracurricular interests, and family preferences Explain the structure and philosophy of major curricula offered in the UAE Compare British, American, IB, UAE MOE, CBSE, ICSE, Montessori, and other education systems Explain differences in year-group placement, assessment, subject choice, progression, and graduation pathways Support families transitioning between curricula or education systems Identify schools that appear aligned with the family's stated requirements Develop impartial school shortlists using verified information Guide parents in reviewing school websites, inspection reports, fee structures, admissions requirements, and curriculum offerings Explain common school application and admissions processes Support families in preparing questions for school visits and admissions meetings Assist with school-comparison frameworks, decision matrices, and family education plans Provide age-appropriate guidance regarding IGCSE, GCSE, A Level, IB Diploma, AP, SAT, vocational, and university-preparation pathways Support families of learners with special educational needs in identifying relevant inclusion questions and support considerations Review available educational records, reports, assessment results, and transition information with parental consent Refer families to appropriately licensed educational psychologists, therapists, counsellors, or legal professionals where specialist advice is required Maintain current knowledge of UAE schools, curricula, admissions processes, inspection frameworks, and education-sector developments Maintain confidentiality and manage family information responsibly Clearly disclose any commercial, referral, or partnership relationships that could affect impartiality Avoid guaranteeing admission, placement, school performance, regulatory approval, or future academic outcomes Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, School Counselling, Psychology, Curriculum Studies, International Education, or a related field Minimum 5 years' experience in schools, admissions, education consultancy, curriculum leadership, school counselling, or educational management Strong knowledge of UAE private and international education Strong understanding of major international and regional curricula Experience advising families about school pathways or educational transitions Excellent consultation, research, report-writing, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, International Education, Curriculum Studies, Psychology, or a related discipline PGCE, B.
Ed., QTS, school leadership qualification, or recognised counselling qualification Experience working in UAE schools or education groups Experience in school admissions, registrar services, counselling, inclusion, or senior leadership Knowledge of KHDA, ADEK, SPEA, and UAE Ministry of Education requirements Experience supporting relocating or expatriate families Experience with SEND, gifted education, bilingual education, or homeschool pathways Additional language skills, particularly Arabic Familiarity with university admissions and post‐secondary curriculum implications UAE Licensing Requirements Applicants must hold suitable UAE work authorisation for education consultancy, family advisory services, school admissions support, or related professional activities.
