The incumbent is also responsible to design and carry trainings to end user of the applications, investigate and provide remedy to the technical issues for the application.
Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Role
- Thinks beyond short term objectives to consider the broader vision and strategic goals of HCT.
- Supports in cascading the overall functional strategy into operational goals.
- Facilitate the achievement of strategic objectives by allocating resources and focusing the efforts of the team.
Operational Role
- Collaborate with stakeholders for Business Process Automation and Digitalization as per business need.
- Identify areas where Application Services can assist in problem solving or recommend solutions.
- Communicate cross-divisionally and coordinate with business and technical groups regarding applications.
- Provide ERP support and application analysis.
- Standardize applications and enhance it with latest technologies.
- Monitor the implementation and roll-out of new applications and provide required trainings.
- Coordinate and track customer service requests related to applications. Provide level 2 and level 3 support to application-related issues as and when needed through effective and efficient diagnosis and resolution of issues.
- Define application related project scopes and implementation approach.
- Explore innovations and trends in technology for institutional applicability.
- Identify alternative and innovative ways to facilitate resilient practices and approaches developed to protect and restore the organizations resources and business continuation in times of any major change/ crisis.
- Undertake any other related projects/tasks to meet strategic business needs as assigned by the Line Manager.
Leadership Role
- Tailor activities to the development needs of subordinates and provides guidance on how to perform tasks.
- Actively and effectively listen to others and help them resolve issues or overcome difficulties.
- Provide subordinates the support they need to succeed and allow them to take responsibility for the results.
- Act as a role-model for subordinates, providing guidance and continuously prompting a culture of learning and development across HCT.
- Collaborate with peers and the business to foster an atmosphere that celebrates collaboration, innovation, inclusivity and teamwork.
- Coach team and individuals on performance and professional development issues. Motivate colleagues to achieve efficiency and productivity. Conduct performance appraisals, interviews, and discipline/ documentation, as needed.
- Contribute in an effective and efficient manner to the recruitment and development of UAE Nationals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelors degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information System, Software Engineering.
- Advanced Level computer literacy is required.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Advanced understanding in the area of technology and applications.
