We are seeking to hire a hard-working and reliable line cook to prepare Oriental food and assist with various kitchen tasks at Upscales informal F & B Electrical Outlet in Abu Dhabi. To be effective as a cook, you must demonstrate excellent organizational abilities and ensure that all responsibilities are completed in a timely manner.
Obligations:
1. Guarantee the kitchen is established with cooking utensils and devices for the shift operation.
2. Study each recipe and gather all essential components.
3. Ensure great presentation by dressing recipes before they are served.
4. Maintain a disinfected and orderly environment in the kitchen.
5. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
6. Monitor food stock and place orders.
7. Examine the freshness of food and discard outdated items.
8. Try out recipes and recommend new ingredients.
9. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen.
Requirements:
1. Experience in using cutting tools, pots and pans, and bakeware.
2. Proven experience as Chef/Commis.
3. Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods, especially in Pan, Grill, and Fryer.
4. Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
5. Capability to work in a team.
6. Great communication skills in English.
7. A diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage.
Job Types: Permanent, Long-term, Contract
Salary: AED2, AED5,000.00 per month
Agreement length: 24 months
