Sr. Security Engineer (Secure Communication & Embedded Systems)

On behalf of a client, we are searching for a Senior Security Engineer with expertise in networking and secure communication applications and devices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the security assessments of various systems.

Responsibilities

- Conduct architecture security reviews and threat modeling for secure communication solutions.
- Perform security assessments of low level components, like MCU or firmware.
- Execute protocol and binary fuzzing to uncover vulnerabilities in implementations.
- Utilize SAST, SCA, and DAST tools to integrate security into the entire SSDLC.
- Work closely with development teams to embed secure coding practices and automate security.

Must haves

- Understanding of Rust, C, Go, and Python code.
- Hands-on experience with network security, including protocol analysis and secure communications.
- Expertise in mobile security tools such as Frida, Hopper, IDA Pro, Ghidra, and reverse engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud-native security.
- Proficiency in fuzzing techniques for network protocols and binaries.

Nice to haves

- Knowledge of secure communication devices, HSMs, and encryption modules.
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO
- Experience in security assessments of cryptographic protocols.
- Experience securing cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Other Details

- The role involves performing security validation using SAST, SCA, DAST, and fuzzing techniques.
- Must have strong analytical skills to document findings and recommendations.
