- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and patient needs
- Diagnose mental health disorders based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) criteria.
- Prescribe medications and monitor their effects, adjusting treatment as necessary.
- Provide psychotherapy and other therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy.
- Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay updated on advances in psychiatric practices.
- Engage in community outreach and educational initiatives to promote mental health awareness. Qualifications
- Medical degree (M.
D. or D.
O.) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency program in psychiatry.
- Board certification in psychiatry
- Valid medical license
- Proficient in various therapeutic modalities and psychiatric evaluation techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and families.
