Job Requisition ID: 171746 Overview Of The Role: The Senior Data Scientist at Al Futtaim is responsible for the development and management of predictive and forecasting models to support both regional and international risk monitoring. The role involves conducting robust statistical analyses, generating actionable insights, and implementing data-driven strategies to maintain and enhance market competitiveness. A key aspect of the role is building relationships with stakeholders and mentoring the data science team, ensuring high standards of analytics practices and effective data storytelling. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of data science methodologies, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate independently across a range of projects. What You Will Do: Model Development and Management Develop and manage in-house predictive and forecasting models such as RV, Equity Mining, SMR, etc. Oversee the full model cycle from experimentation to deployment using tools like ML-Flow, and perform model calibrations to address any drifts. Define post modeling adjustments (PMA) to enhance model performance. Calculate RV Provisions, identify hand-backs and their rates, and quantify the impact of features. Data Analysis and Risk Management Conduct statistical and quantitative analyses to identify and quantify potential risks. Prepare RV Risk recommendations by highlighting risks and proposing mitigations. Design and develop risk measures, methodologies, and models such as RV & SMR Risk. Define strategies to optimize the trade cycle. Quantify feature importance in Time-to-fail and Mileage-to-fail analyses. Stakeholder Engagement and Mentoring Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across Al Futtaim, including IT, Finance, Remarketing, and Sales. Coordinate with various stakeholders to implement recommended actions. Guide and mentor other data scientists and analysts on best practices for analysis and data storytelling. Data Communication Recommend actions based on insights by effectively telling data-driven stories through presentations, data visualizations, and clear communication. Required Skills To Be Successful: Excellent programming skills in Python, R, and SQL. Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik. Strong communication and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement. Advanced planning, organizing, and time management skills. What Qualifies You For The Role: 5+ years of experience in financial services, preferably in the Automotive or Captive Finance industries. 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, including machine learning, NLP, neural networks, and time-series forecasting. Strong statistical knowledge and quantitative problem-solving skills. Proficiency with open-source ML frameworks like scikit-learn, tensorflow, RF, xgboost, and MLFlow.
