The position combines physical inspection with measurement, material traceability, quality documentation, payment verification, and safety awareness. Thorough inspection protects the integrity of completed structures while giving the supervision team dependable records for acceptance decisions, commercial certification, corrective actions, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities
Examine structural works at designated inspection stages and verify compliance with contract specifications. Monitor demolition of existing structural components and associated construction activities. Inspect reservoirs, lifting stations, retaining walls, substations, bridges, tunnels, and related civil structures. Cover structural works associated with landscape features, lagoons, swimming pools, and other project facilities. Compare construction workmanship with approved plans, details, and technical specifications. Confirm materials incorporated into permanent works have received the required approvals. Review Certificates of Compliance, Safety Data Sheets, inspection tags, and supporting material records. Maintain project files covering inspections, measurements, quantities, and construction activities. Record daily site observations and prepare accurate inspection diaries. Produce daily reports and additional documentation required under the contract. Measure completed construction and maintain supporting quantity calculations. Check installed quantities used in contractor payment applications. Verify quantities associated with change orders and additional works. Assist with assessment of progress payment estimates and extra work bills. Maintain current as-built information based on verified construction conditions. Support checking of final record plans against actual completed works. Conduct labor compliance interviews when required by contractual procedures. Identify discrepancies between drawings, specifications, site conditions, and construction activities. Recognize emerging technical conflicts and promptly advise the supervising engineer. Provide relevant field information to support practical resolution of construction issues. Document nonconforming workmanship and materials through project quality procedures. Participate in determining suitable corrective measures for identified deficiencies. Reinspect corrected works and record their compliance status. Coordinate surveying support required for dimensional and quantity verification. Liaise with material testing subconsultants and follow required inspection activities. Contribute field information to quality control procedures and reports. Assist with development of job-specific safety practices. Support preparation of construction safety documentation. Identify hazardous working conditions and initiate appropriate action under project procedures. Maintain awareness of public safety around active construction areas. Respond to emergency site call-backs when inspection support is required. Provide technical direction to junior inspectors when assigned. Review upcoming work schedules and prepare inspection requirements in advance. Coordinate daily priorities with engineers, contractors, surveyors, laboratories, and supervision personnel.
