We are seeking a Social Media Specialist to help us craft compelling narratives, own our content strategy, be the voice that shapes our digital identity, and drive engagement across our online communities.

MAKAN is a start-up reinventing the furniture experience and making it pleasant, easy, and convenient. We offer 2 key services to our customers:

1. A furniture subscription service, tailored to today's dynamic lifestyles. Our service grants customers the flexibility to decide what to keep, return, or swap out, seamlessly blending convenience with style.
2. A hassle-free curtain installation service designed for those who value quality and simplicity.

After a successful launch in 2021, MAKAN / Kurtains furnished +5000 homes and got backed by an exceptional pool of investors. We are growing very fast and are hiring a solid team to accelerate our development.

You will join a growing team in the most promising start-up in its sector. Alongside Wissal, our Marketing Specialist, and Youssef, our co-founder, you will play an important role in managing our content and social media platforms.

Your responsibilities will be:

1. Calendar Ownership: Take charge of and maintain our social media calendar, ensuring timely content creation, posting, and promotion.
2. Social Media Content: Conceptualize, create, and curate tailored content for social media.
3. Social Media Posting: Create, schedule, and post engaging content directly to our social media platforms, ensuring consistency and maximum reach.
4. Shoot Support: Assist in organizing and coordinating photo and video shoots, including managing logistics, scouting locations, arranging props, and ensuring timely execution.
5. Model Scouting: Support on scouting and selecting models for social media and ads, ensuring they align with our brand image and the specific campaign objectives.
6. Data-Driven Analysis: Analyze and report on KPIs, using insights to hone content strategies, optimize engagement, and amplify brand visibility.
7. Market Analysis: Stay updated with the latest content trends, conduct regular benchmarks, and position our brand at the forefront of content innovation.
8. Community Building: Foster a vibrant online community through active social listening, responsive interactions, and regular content posting.
9. Copywriting: Craft content in impeccable English (Arabic is a plus), ensuring clarity, coherence, and charisma.
10. On-Camera Flair: Comfort and charisma in front of the camera is a notable plus, though not mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 1-3 years of content creation experience in social media, with a creative agency or a digital native brand (or for your own account).
2. Proven ability to craft and post engaging content (reels, stories, etc.).
3. Demonstrated analytical skills and data-driven approach.
4. Exceptional organizational skills, adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
5. An entrepreneurial mindset: you are ready to work on different types of topics.
6. Stellar writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English.
