Job Description Join the Cancer Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi as a High-Risk and Preventive Oncology Consultant. This Staff Physician role is designed for physicians with a strong interest and expertise in cancer risk assessment, precision prevention, and early detection, working at the intersection of oncology, genomics, and longitudinal care. Job Summary The position is open to qualified physicians from Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Medical Oncology, Obstetrics & Gynecology, or other relevant adult medical specialties, who are passionate about delivering personalized, risk-based care to individuals at increased risk of cancer. This includes patients with hereditary cancer syndromes, significant family histories, prior cancer diagnoses, or elevated polygenic and clinical risk profiles. The successful candidate will play a key role in a multidisciplinary High-Risk and Longevity Medicine program, focusing on: - Comprehensive cancer risk assessment and stratification - Personalized surveillance and early detection strategies - Risk-reduction interventions (lifestyle, medical, and preventive approaches) - Long-term follow-up and care coordination in collaboration with genetics, oncology, and allied specialties This role is ideal for physicians who are motivated by preventive oncology, genomics-informed care, and population health impact, and who wish to contribute to a nationally and internationally recognized precision prevention program. Physician Responsibilities - Provide personalized medical care focused on cancer prevention, and wellness optimization. - Understanding of risk estimation models for risk stratification purposes - Understanding in requesting and interpreting germline genetic cancer panels - Manage and monitor high-risk patients to personalize precision prevention strategies using NCCN, ACMG and other guidelines - Oversee comprehensive medical assessments, diagnostics, and integrative care plans. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists in oncology, nutrition, genetic counselling, and other subspecialties. - Guide patients through advanced screening, early detection, and lifestyle-based intervention strategies. - Contribute to program development in precision and longevity medicine research - Evaluates patients and records applicable notes about patients condition for purposes of serving as a record of treatment and/or making a possible referral to another member of the health care medical staff team - Liaisons with other medical and non-medical staff at CCAD to ensure quality patient treatment - Supplies and provides care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive manner - Follows ethical and regulatory guidelines - Takes part in administrative functions that ensure the continued operations of the clinical environment, such as committees, task forces and performance improvement measures - Adheres to individual approved clinical privileges, as well as to all policies and procedures of the Medical Staff Experience Requirements - For Physicians from Tier 1 countries, not less than two (2) years additional experience post qualification in managing complex and high-risk medical cases. - For Physicians from Tier 2 countries, not less than five (5) years additional experience post qualification in managing complex and high-risk medical cases. - Demonstrated interest or certification in Genomics Cancer Risk Assessment - Must hold a valid License/ Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable) - Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team of health care professionals - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staff - Ability to speak and write in English is required - Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred Education Requirements - MD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent qualification from an accredited Institution - Completion of a specialty qualification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, as per the Recognized Specialty Certificate table listed in the Healthcare Professionals Qualification Requirements 2025 - Previous clinical and administrative experience and/or training in oncology high risk and/or survivorship programs About Us Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, part of the M42 group, is a multispecialty hospital on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
