Business Development Manager – Al Futtaim Honda

Honda is one of the UAE's most popular automotive brands and enjoys a presence here dating back to the 1970's when it was introduced by the Al-Futtaim family. Honda's presence in the market has grown considerably, aided of course by excellent products - a car for every occasion, motorcycles, marine motors and other power products to make lives easier. We are the sole distributor for all Honda products in the UAE and our nationwide network of showrooms cover the country to enable everybody to experience and enjoy the Honda range of products easily and conveniently.
We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for identifying potential opportunities to increase workshop revenue and manage the development of new systems and processes to tap the potential available.
The responsibilities of this role include:
1. Liaising with the Principles to develop, implement and improve upon the Dealer standards at all service locations and be a market leader in the region.
2. Identifying areas of improvement in facility, layout, comfort, systems, and operations, and suggesting and implementing changes required to achieve higher dealer standards and customer satisfaction.
3. Liaising with location managers to identify the requirements of tools, equipment, and solutions that will improve the productivity of the workshop.
4. Conducting in-house training for service staff on standard service transactions.
5. Developing and implementing programs to improve customer retention and satisfaction.
This role also has the following direct responsibilities:
1. Introducing new business opportunities by conducting regular surveys of the market and competitors' workshops, studying and developing best industry practices in-house.
2. Identifying lost sales by regularly auditing the service orders of each location to monitor jobs that are not approved, identifying the reasons, suggesting an action plan, and implementing a system in conjunction with the location manager.
3. Auditing dealer standards by conducting regular assessments.
Reporting into the National Service Manager, you will be a strong leader with demonstrable experience in the following:
1. Graduate Engineer/Diploma Holder in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering.
years in the Automotive service department with 3 years in a Service Manager position.
3. Understanding of Automobile Engineering, usage of Dealer Management systems, and MS Office applications.
4. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication, planning, organizing, and negotiation skills.
5. Strong analytical and administrative competence with the ability to present business reports is critical for this job.
