About the job Artificial Intelligence-Faculty Job Description: City University Ajman is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our faculty team as an AI (Artificial Intelligence) Faculty Member. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating student learning, delivering effective instruction, and evaluating student performance across assigned classes. As an integral part of the academic community, the AI Faculty Member will contribute to curriculum development, program assessment, and academic policy enhancement. Responsibilities: - Facilitate student learning through effective instruction and evaluation in accordance with standard course outlines. - Develop course curriculum, handouts, lectures, labs, and presentations to support student learning objectives. - Participate in program-level learning assessment activities, including articulating learning outcomes, administering measures, evaluating student performance, and suggesting improvements. - Propose and implement policies to enhance academic development and research within the College and University. - Collaborate with faculty and administrators to develop program curriculum, standards, and policies, including textbook selection. - Schedule, supervise, examine, and evaluate students in internship, observation, and field experience settings as appropriate. - Work with the Dean to align Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) with Qualifications Framework Emirates (QFE) and Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), and contribute to the Program Assessment committee. - Maintain accurate student records and submit grades in compliance with university standards and deadlines. - Ensure adherence to audit, quality assurance, and risk management procedures to maintain service excellence. - Maintain high standards in teaching, research, and resource management, documenting evaluation and monitoring procedures for compliance and improvement. - Prepare e-Course files for assigned courses and uphold scheduled responsibilities, including office hours and meetings. - Maintain availability to students via in-person office hours, email, or phone, with clear communication of contact methods and hours. - Coordinate with the Dean and College members to support university research projects and community engagement initiatives. - Participate in faculty evaluation processes and contribute to community service projects. - Ensure a safe, healthy environment and proper maintenance of university equipment. - Manage student records, assist with research and internships, and uphold research integrity and ethics. - Foster a dynamic and forward-looking learning environment, supervising academic advising and remaining current in the AI discipline. - Attend professional conferences, pursue continuing education, and stay updated on technological advancements. - Follow the Professional Development Plan proposed by the Dean and participate in university activities and meetings. - Perform other academically related duties as assigned by the Dean. Qualifications: - Experience in AI research and teaching - Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Artificial Intelligence, or related field. - Demonstrated expertise in AI methodologies, technologies, and applications. - Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills. - Commitment to academic excellence, research integrity, and student success. - Experience with curriculum development, assessment, and policy implementation is desirable.
