About the job Assistant Resident Engineer

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

- Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing day-to-day construction activities and project progress.
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure work is performed in accordance with project specifications and schedules.
- Monitor construction methods, materials, and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed progress reports.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and local authorities, to resolve technical issues and site challenges.
- Review and approve construction shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
- Monitor quality control procedures and ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices.
- Assist in reviewing contractor claims, variations, and progress payments.
- Support the Resident Engineer in preparing project documentation, reports, and correspondence.
- Attend project and coordination meetings as required.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably within PMC or large-scale infrastructure projects in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Landscape and infrastructure projects.
