Position: QA Tester
Purpose
Looking for a QA Test Engineer with focus on quality of product, process, and deliverables. This individual contributor role is to be assigned to mission-focused testing by automating recurring tasks and eliminating unnecessary work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Qualification and Skills
1. BE, BS, MS in Computer Science or significant experience as a QA in Software
years of experience in the software testing environment (Manual + Automation)
3. Relevant certification would be an advantage
4. Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices and integration of automated testing into a continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
5. Strong working knowledge of Selenium with Java
6. Domain expert in manual and automation testing; to introduce new test techniques, tools and work efficiently with current tools
7. Technical understanding of design and system architecture for multitier application
8. Strong knowledge of SDLC and experience with Agile test methodology
9. Knowledge of non-functional and performance testing
10. Good understanding of networks and distributed systems
11. SQL database background/expertise
12. Detail oriented and have amazing communication skills explaining technical problems succinctly and clear.
Responsibilities
1. Designing and executing manual test cases
2. Should influence better software requirements, promote proper engineering practice, and bug prevention strategies using innovative quality concepts
3. Troubleshooting problems; demonstrate strong problem solving and communication skills, and an expert automation engineering resource
4. Hands-on ability to automate repeated tasks and build test coverage using Selenium framework
5. Well acquainted with an automation testing concepts of Selenium, SOAPUI, Apache JMeter, Cucumber, Screenplay, and other related tools
6. Developing new automated test frameworks that will establish product quality standards for our development process
7. Using a variety of tools to root out and diagnose hard to find bugs
8. Performing Non-Functional testing, usability, security, risk-based testing, and API testing as per requirements
9. Test script development and optimization, test data preparation, test review, test execution and debugging, effective reporting for management review
10. Owning end-to-end test activities by working closely with the development teams, Backend, Product, Architecture and Support teams
11. Identifying gaps in requirement and refining existing requirements for testability, ambiguity or redundancy
12. Challenges the Environment, raises testing standards by experimenting new processes/Adopting new Tools.
13. Working closely with development teams in instrumenting their workflow to build a comprehensive picture of velocity, coverage, and quality
14. Involving in sprint planning to define the sprint goals, sprint review meetings, identify the product backlogs and provide risks/issues to the Scrum team for quicker remediation
15. Introducing best practices in testing and project development life cycle.
