OverviewStaff Physician, ENT/Otolaryngology for Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD). This physician position is responsible for applying medical knowledge and skills to the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of illnesses for patients within the Surgical Subspecialties - ENT/Otolaryngology at CCAD. The physician may treat patients directly and/or make referrals to other members of the health care professional team at CCAD. The practice will have a significant portion dealing with sleep patients. The physician applying is expected to have completed a fellowship in sleep surgery or have a substantial portion of their current practice in sleep management.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitor and provide care to patients at CCAD within the Surgical Subspecialties - ENT/OtolaryngologyPrescribe or administer medication, therapy and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease or injuryAnalyze records, reports and test results to diagnose patient medical conditionsInteract with patients to gather additional history and information about medical conditionsExplain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patientsProvide specific treatments and/or perform operations to treat patient medical conditions, as appropriateEvaluate patients and record notes about their condition for treatment records or referralsCollaborate with other medical and non-medical staff at CCAD to ensure quality patient carePerform surgical procedures and operations as appropriateProvide care in a culturally appropriate and sensitive mannerFollow ethical and regulatory guidelinesParticipate in administrative functions to support clinical operations (committees, task forces, performance improvement)Adhere to approved clinical privileges and to all Medical Staff policies and proceduresExperience RequirementsFor physicians from Tier 1 countries, at least two (2) years of additional experience post-qualificationFor physicians from Tier 2 countries, at least five (5) years of additional experience post-qualificationMust hold a valid license/registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (where applicable)Should meet Maintenance of Certification requirements (where applicable)Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team of health care professionalsAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and staffAbility to speak and write in English is required; ability to speak and write in English and Arabic is preferredEducation RequirementsMD, MBBS, MBChBPhysicians with an accredited American Board of Medical Specialty (ABMS) certification, RCPSC specialization certificate, CFPC certification, UK CCST/CCT or a Tier 1 or Tier 2 primary specialization certificate, followed by a clinical fellowshipAbout Cleveland Clinic Abu DhabiCleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is located on Al Maryah Island, in Abu Dhabi's central business district.
