Job Purpose & Responsibilities The Manager of Student Life is responsible for creating and supporting a high‑quality student life experience for all students at AURAK. The role involves designing, implementing, and facilitating co‑curricular learning opportunities and student leadership development, promoting proactive retention activities, and fostering student engagement. The Manager serves as a student advocate, addressing students’ needs and well‑being concerns, establishing relationships with individual students and student groups, and acting as liaison between students and campus staff/faculty. Minimum Qualifications and Education Master’s degree in education, student counseling, or another relevant field; a Master’s in Student Affairs or Higher Education is preferred. Required Knowledge and Skills - Knowledge of best practices in student affairs and experience using research findings to guide practices and planning. - Experience with social media postings and ability to develop and implement social media marketing plans for events and activity promotion. - Leadership and management skills to motivate staff toward service excellence. - Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices in higher education, student affairs, leadership development, and student wellbeing. - Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook. - Excellent diplomacy and interpersonal skills. Work Experience - At least 3 years of experience in student activities planning or programming for university students, preferably within North America or UAE following the North American model. - Demonstrated ability to produce results in a fast‑paced, results‑oriented environment with minimal direction. - Experience with college student activities in leadership development. - Experience managing business social media accounts. - Proficient with commonly used higher education software. - Professional ethics and integrity; problem‑solving; time management; teamwork.
