Description

A trusted provider of tech-enabled home services, providing an amazingly better experience using software and data that enable their service personnel to be more effective and efficient, is seeking a smart and enthusiastic Senior Fullstack Engineer to join their development team. Your primary focus will be the development of robust, high-performance customer-facing applications and features. This role encompasses both frontend and backend development, requiring a strong technical foundation in various technologies and the ability to mentor junior team members. You will be responsible for developing friendly and responsive UI components, working with our backend APIs, and optimizing apps for speed and responsiveness across multiple platforms. Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and implementation of complex server-side logic and user-facing features, ensuring optimal performance and responsiveness across platforms.
2. Architect scalable and robust backend solutions, including APIs, and collaborate on developing intuitive, responsive UIs.
3. Mentor junior engineers and frontend developers, guiding them in best practices, code quality, and technical decision-making.
4. Take ownership of the full product lifecycle, from initial concept through deployment and optimization, based on close collaboration with the Product and cross-functional teams.
5. Utilize AI tools to bring innovation to development processes and product features.
6. Drive continuous improvement in technology stack and development processes, advocating for best practices in software engineering.

Desired Skills and Experience

1. Extensive experience with Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
2. Proficiency in fullstack development, including advanced skills in JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS, along with a solid understanding of SQL.
3. Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members with a successful team collaboration track record.
4. A strong commitment to user experience, with examples that showcase complex web-based applications delivered to end users.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of computer science fundamentals.
6. Ability to work effectively in a remote distributed team environment with excellent communication skills and a willingness to engage in synchronous meetings during core hours.
7. Experience with or a strong interest in using AI platforms for various development tasks.

Nice to have

1. Experience with React, Webpack, Jest, NodeJS, ThreeJS, and other modern frontend/backend technologies.
2. Experience integrating AI models and APIs into applications for tasks like content generation, sentiment analysis, or data processing.
3. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure).
4. Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
5. Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g. CI/CD, monitoring, logging).

Availability

This position is full-time with expectations of at least 40 hours per week; Availability Monday through Friday between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm US Central.
