Civil Site Inspector

Job PurposeTo inspect and monitor civil construction activities on-site to ensure that all works comply with approved drawings project specifications quality standards and applicable authority requirements The Civil Inspector will coordinate with contractors consultants and project team members to ensure that construction works are completed in accordance with the project requirementsKey ResponsibilitiesInspect civil construction works including foundations concrete works structural elements blockwork plastering waterproofing and finishing worksEnsure that all construction activities comply with approved drawings technical specifications method statements and Inspection and Test Plans ITPsConduct site inspections and verify that materials workmanship and installation methods meet the required quality standardsReview and verify contractor Inspection Requests IRs and Work Inspection Requests WIRs before recommending acceptance or rejection to the Resident Engineer or relevant EngineerMonitor concrete pouring activities reinforcement installation formwork and other structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawingsIdentify defective or non-compliant works and report them to the Resident Engineer or relevant Engineer for corrective actionFollow up on the rectification of site observations and non-conformance reports NCRsVerify that construction materials delivered to the site comply with approved material submittals and project specificationsMonitor contractors compliance with approved construction methods project schedules and quality requirementsMaintain daily site inspection records progress reports photographs and other relevant documentationCoordinate with the contractor s site engineers QA QC engineers surveyors and other discipline inspectors to resolve site issuesEnsure that construction activities are carried out in accordance with applicable Dubai Municipality requirements UAE regulations and relevant international standardsReport construction progress technical concerns and quality issues to the Resident Engineer or designated EngineerAttend site meetings and provide technical input on civil construction matters when requiredQualifications and ExperienceDiploma or Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil construction inspection and supervision preferably in the UAEExperience in residential commercial high-rise building or infrastructure projects depending on project requirementsGood knowledge of construction drawings specifications inspection procedures and quality control requirementsFamiliarity with UAE construction regulations and applicable authority standardsExperience in reviewing WIRs material inspections and site quality documentationGood communication reporting coordination and problem-solving skillsAbility to work on-site and coordinate effectively with contractors and the supervision teamCivil and structural construction inspection. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC).
Inspection documentation and reporting. Identification of defective works and follow-up on corrective actions. Knowledge of construction materials and testing procedures. Effective communication and coordination with project stakeholders.
