Your Day to Day - Proactively identify and develop revenue‑generating opportunities across the leisure and wholesale segments. - Proactively manage relationships with tour operators, travel agencies, and luxury travel advisors to maximize business potential. - Participate in major industry trade shows, roadshows, and promotional events to represent the hotel and generate business leads. - Collaborate with the Revenue, Marketing, and Front Office teams to ensure alignment on sales initiatives and guest experiences. - Conduct regular sales visits, site inspections, and familiarization trips to showcase the property. - Analyze market trends and competitor performance to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry developments. - Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for management review. - Refers sales leads to appropriate personnel within the InterContinental Hotels Group. - Sells to new, existing and prospective customers considering goals set forth in the sales strategy, negotiating optimum rate for the benefit of the business. - Consistently strive to achieve and exceed established sales targets and KPIs in line with the hotel’s overall commercial strategy. - Maintain and regularly update a comprehensive calendar of key local, regional, and international events relevant to the leisure travel and wholesale market. - Work closely with the Revenue Management team to ensure timely and accurate updates of the group rates calendar, aligning sales efforts with pricing strategies and market demand. Desired Competencies and Experience - Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in a sales role within a 5‑star luxury hotel, with a strong background in the leisure segment. - Deep understanding of the luxury travel market, especially within the GCC, Europe, Asia, and emerging markets. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; additional languages are a plus. - Strong network within the travel trade industry and an ability to build and maintain high‑level partnerships. - Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment with a high level of professionalism and integrity. - UAE experience or market knowledge is highly desirable.
