This position focuses on improving academic outcomes, mentoring teachers, and strengthening subject performance across the school. Context The Head of Mathematics is responsible for leading the mathematics department, ensuring high standards of teaching, and enhancing student achievement across all levels. This role directly impacts academic success by implementing effective teaching strategies, supporting staff development, and maintaining curriculum excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mathematics department and oversee curriculum planning and delivery
- Monitor student performance and implement strategies to improve attainment
- Support and mentor teachers to enhance classroom practices
- Ensure consistent and high‑quality teaching standards across the subject area
- Develop assessment frameworks and track progress using data‑driven methods
- Promote innovative teaching approaches and student engagement in mathematics
- Contribute to school improvement plans and academic initiatives
- Participate in extracurricular activities and academic competitions Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Education with a specialization in Mathematics
- Recognised teaching qualification such as BEd or PGCE with QTS
- Proven experience in teaching mathematics and leading subject teams
- Strong leadership and organisational capabilities
- Ability to analyse academic data and improve performance outcomes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
