Physician Assistant

Job Description A physician assistant (PA) works under the supervision of a physician to provide medical care to patients. PAs perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses, order and interpret medical tests, and prescribe medications. They may work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, or physician offices. Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations. • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or blood work. • Diagnose and treat common medical conditions and illnesses. • Prescribe medications and provide patient education on medication usage and potential side effects. • Assist in surgical procedures and provide post-operative care. • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and coordinate patient treatment plans. • Monitor and evaluate patients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their care plan. • Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures and lifestyle modifications. Requirements • Bachelor's or master's degree in physician assistant studies. • Successful completion of national certification exam (PANCE). • State licensure or certification as a physician assistant. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
