About B2B: B2B is a new Marketplace business at Noon and part of the new startups we are planning to start in the noon group. B2B marketplace platform targeting enterprise customers in UAE and KSA. The platform will digitize the traditional procurement process across 8 vertical markets, offering a seamless online purchasing experience with credit facilities, bulk ordering, and Request for Quote (RFQ) capabilities. Responsibilities - Design, build, and scale backend services supporting a new B2B marketplace across web and mobile platforms. - Work within newly formed squads, contributing to core systems as the team and product are built from the ground up. - Develop and own backend components within Noon's marketplace ecosystem, aligned to the specific domain you join. - Collaborate closely with frontend, product, and data teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. - Adapt existing Noon marketplace systems where relevant, while building new capabilities for use cases that do not exist today. - Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability to support multiple product categories launching in parallel. - Contribute to a healthy, collaborative team environment, helping establish strong engineering practices and ways of working. - Take end-to-end ownership of services, from design and implementation to deployment and continuous improvement. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering) - Strong backend engineering experience, ideally within marketplace, e-commerce, or platform-based products. - Solid understanding of backend system design, APIs, data models, and scalable architectures. - Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams and comfort operating in a fast-changing environment. - Ability to quickly understand new domains, business models, and customer journeys, especially B2B use cases. - Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to tackle new challenges that go beyond existing Noon systems. - Ownership mentality and comfort making technical decisions in an early-stage product environment. - Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to building new teams and squads.
