The Computer Science Teaching Opportunity The High School Computer Science Teacher will create stimulating learning experiences that strengthen students ' understanding of Computer Science while encouraging curiosity, exploration, and critical thinking. The successful candidate will use inquiry-based approaches, differentiated instruction, and practical Computer Science teaching to support students with diverse learning needs. The role also involves close collaboration with colleagues, constructive communication with parents, and active participation in the wider academic and enrichment life of Dubai American Academy.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and interactive Computer Science lessons to High School students in accordance with the school 's curriculum and educational standards. Develop creative and effective teaching strategies that encourage enthusiasm for Computer Science and strengthen critical thinking skills. Apply inquiry-based learning approaches and practical Computer Science instruction. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs. Maintain continuity and consistency in curriculum delivery. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and exploration. Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and effective learning environment. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress. Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Contribute to enrichment opportunities, professional learning, and the wider life of the school. Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree combined with a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, State License, or equivalent specialising in Computer Science. Proven experience teaching Computer Science at High School level. Experience within an American curriculum or IB curriculum school is preferred. Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and practical Computer Science instruction. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Commitment to continually improving professional practice and delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
