PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To ensure the successful execution of electrical works in construction projects by overseeing design implementation managing site activities and ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulations. This role bridges the gap between project planning and onsite execution ensuring that electrical systems are installed efficiently safely and within the projects budget and timeline.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform electrical system design for HV (High Voltage) and LV (Low Voltage) installations in line with project specifications.
- Conduct detailed load calculations to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Oversee onsite installation testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure all work adheres to project timelines safety standards and quality guidelines.
- Coordinate with contractors subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of electrical works.
- Review and verify electrical shop drawings and method statements provided by subcontractors.
- Ensure adherence to UAE regulations and standards (e.g. DEWA SEWA ADDC).
- Prepare and manage documentation required for approvals and compliance with local authorities.
- Collaborate with project managers architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure electrical works align with overall project requirements.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to electrical systems during execution phases.
- Propose costeffective and efficient solutions for any challenges encountered.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the UAE specifically with contracting companies.
- Handson experience in HV LV systems and electrical load calculations.
- Proficient in electrical design software such as ETAP AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of UAE authority regulations (e.g. DEWA ADDC SEWA).
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be immediately available to start upon selection.
