Senior ITS Intelligent Transportation Specialist Engineer

We are seeking a Senior ITS (Intelligent Transportation Specialist) Engineer to join our innovative team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. In this role you will lead the design implementation and optimization of cuttingedge Intelligent Transportation Systems to enhance urban mobility and support smart city initiatives in the region.

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of advanced ITS solutions for traffic management and urban mobility
  • Lead the design and integration of traffic control systems including adaptive signal control and connected vehicle technologies
  • Conduct traffic analysis and simulations to optimize transportation network performance
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to deliver complex ITS projects on time and within budget
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies and technology partners
  • Stay current with emerging ITS technologies and industry best practices
  • Prepare detailed technical reports presentations and project documentation
  • Ensure compliance with local and international ITS standards and regulations

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Transportation Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in ITS engineering with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Advanced knowledge of ITS technologies traffic signal timing and coordination systems
  • Proficiency in traffic simulation software and data analysis tools
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex multidisciplinary projects
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Indepth understanding of transportation systems urban mobility and smart city initiatives
  • Experience in designing and implementing ITS solutions for largescale transportation projects
  • Familiarity with GIS applications in transportation engineering
  • Knowledge of local and international ITS standards and regulations
  • ITS certifications (e.g. PTOE IMSA) preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel within the region as required
