Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the transhipment operations for shipments between different regions with a primary focus on Europe.
  • Ensure the smooth and efficient flow of goods through transhipment hubs managing both inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize the transhipment process reducing delays and improving costefficiency.
  • Coordinate with suppliers carriers and port authorities to ensure timely delivery and compliance with regulations.
  • Supervise and manage a team of logistics professionals providing guidance and training to ensure high levels of performance.
  • Negotiate contracts with shipping lines freight forwarders and other service providers to secure competitive pricing and quality services.
  • Track and monitor shipments resolving any delays issues or discrepancies in the transhipment process.
  • Analyze and report on logistics performance recommending improvements in processes systems and technology.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations import/export laws and any other relevant trade regulations.
  • Develop contingency plans for potential delays or disruptions in the transhipment chain.
  • Ensure that the warehouse management transportation and distribution functions align with transhipment schedules and operational goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in transhipment logistics with a strong focus on the European region.
  • Indepth knowledge of European shipping routes customs regulations and supply chain practices.
  • Experience with freight forwarding shipping line operations and managing logistics teams.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize cost time and efficiency.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to work with international partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage a team foster collaboration and lead with a solutionoriented approach.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software Microsoft Office and other related tools.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
