What you will need to do:

  • Assists in the preparation of quality documentation including the Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and in the review of construction documents for compliance with project quality requirements related to Painting & Coating works.
  • Monitors all phases and processes required for the effective completion of all related Painting & coating works and in particular issues of design procurement construction and final hand over of the related Painting & Coating works.
  • Monitors the implementation of Method Statements and Inspection & Test Plans related to Painting & coating works and ensure all necessary records are generated in a timely manner in their area of assigned responsibility.
  • Manages the inspection and testing of Painting & coating works in their area of assigned responsibilities including monitoring the work of QC Inspectors under their authority.
  • Monitors the close out of punch lists established for incomplete related to Painting & Coating works.
  • Monitors all measurement & testing instruments employed for Mechanical works that they are functional and calibrated.
  • Liaises and coordinates with 3rd Party Testing /Inspection Company as required related to Painting & Coating works.
  • Statistical analysis and evaluation of test data related to Painting & Coating works.
  • Prepares files maintains test/inspection records and any other quality records generated related to Painting & Coating works.
  • Assisting construction personnel to identify and resolve problems and potential or actual nonconformances related to Painting & Coating works.
  • Advises the QC Manager of nonconformance occurrences and where necessary raises a Nonconformance Report for noncompliant work and monitors the closeout and effectiveness of the correction and corrective action undertaken.
  • Where required assists the QC Manager in undertaking periodic audits including those of subcontractors and suppliers in particular technical compliance audits in their field of specialization.
  • Where required assists in the preparation of final document for certification.
  • Assists in the systems commissioning as required.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Atleast 10  years of experience (ADNOC experience will be an advantage)
  • NACE Level II / BGAS CSWIP Grade 2
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor
  • Knowledgeable in surface preparation and painting of various materials use of blasting equipment Painting instruments . Hands on in the inspection of surface preparation blasting Painting Coating Fire proofing Insulation activities . Familiar in the review and approval of Product certificates garnets and paints . Adept in the qualification of paint systems and applicator qualifications . Shall be familiar with various pipeline coating systems and the methods for inspection and certification including Holiday testing salt contamination DFT WFT .Shall be well experienced in the preparation review and approval of ITP Method statements Procedures. Conversant with International Codes and Standards SHELL DEP ADNOC specifications.
  • Shall be familiar with repair methods for painting and coating including their prequalification process
  • O&G Projects experience.

  • Is able to work both independently exercising professional judgment and coordination skills
  • Has excellent organizational skills
  • With EPC project experience in the Oil & Gas industry
