JOB DESCRIPTION Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Construction Workpack Engineer to join our UAE business unit in Sharjah, UAE. Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world. ABOUT THE ROLE This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Civil Construction Workpack Engineer. OUR CLIENTS AND PROJECTS Wood has been awarded a general engineering contract to support an International Client operator to deliver a portfolio of onshore capital projects by provision of engineering and project management services (including EPC contract management), as well as Supply Chain, Construction and Commissioning support from Wood Iraq and UAE offices. Projects include both Greenfield and Brownfield modification projects and integrating low‑carbon solutions to support our client's energy transition and emissions reduction goals. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Compilation of discipline Construction Work Packs HSE input to construction work packs Provide constructability input into engineering design Review of Engineering deliverables Provision of construction input to work packs to ensure a quality deliverable is produced Assure constructability aspects of design QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 10 years' experience in construction/construction work pack development in an O&G environment Time served with relevant experience or ONC/HNC or equivalent Shall have worked as a construction engineer or supervisor on onshore brownfield modifications work Shall be proficient in taking engineering design deliverables and developing the necessary construction input into a work pack Knowledge of, and experience in using WPS system a distinct advantage Proficient in the use of Navisworks and Microsoft Office Ability to work unsupervised Fluent spoken and written English WHAT WE CAN OFFER Meaningful and interesting projects delivered to high profile clients and complex projects in Iraq Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion Competitive salary with regular salary reviews to ensure we are rewarding at the right level in line with the market Commitment to continued professional development Global connections: join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our profession Medical Insurance: ensures inpatient and outpatient medical care is available should you require treatment.
