The RoleWe are looking for Offshore Service Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis. This role involves a lot of travelling / working away which is on an ad-hoc basis, so flexibility is essential.The purpose of the Offshore Service Engineer is to operate, service & maintain the hire fleet in accordance with Scantech Offshore maintenance procedure.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesPreparation of equipment to meet Hire Office requirementsEnsuring service procedures and standards are followed in accordance with company guidelinesMaintaining safety standards as per the Occupational Health & Safety RegulationsPackaging, maintenance and operation of company equipment both onshore & offshore as required, following company service guidelines & procedures.Completion of service reports, minimum spares stock and handover sheets as required following company procedures.Maintain livery, decals & signageCalibrate relevant safety devicesCarry out third-party inspectionsPressure test hoses when requiredWorking safely as per the Occupational Health & Safety RegulationsMaintaining a professional and courteous approach to customers and colleagues at all timesAny other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Manager within the timeframe specified, in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable, and you are deemed competent to fulfil these.Qualifications / Skills / Experience requiredEssentialExperience of working in an offshore or overseas environmentComputer literate, i.e., Word & Excel.Offshore Survival training.Ability to handle a variety of tasks and priorities in accordance with business requirements.Mechanical Experience - automotive, diesel engines, heavy plant, hydraulics etc.Hydraulic pump both diesel & electric operating training.Winch / Hydraulic cutting toll operating training.H2S awareness training.The role would suit an experienced CAT diesel mechanic or hydraulic engineer.Ideally you will also have experience of working in an offshore environment.PreferredAbility to handle a variety of tasks and priorities in accordance with business requirementsQuality assurance awareness trainingDiesel engine training / shutdown systemsPressure testing awareness trainingManual handling awareness trainingCOSHH awareness trainingWork at heights awareness trainingRisk assessment trainingOffshore medical certificateSlips, trips & fall awareness trainingSteam Boiler operating trainingAir compressor operator trainingH2S awareness trainingExperienced diesel or steam boiler mechanicThe PersonYou will have the ability to establish a good rapport with clients whilst onsite along with good communication skills (verbal and written).Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills are also a must.The offshore work is not a set pattern, so flexibility is required to be able to go offshore on an ad hoc basis as the business requires.For this role you must have the right to reside and work in the UAE.This is a great opportunity to get onboard with an industry leader on a permanent basis.James Fisher & Sons are committed to taking positive action on diversity and we strongly encourage applications from candidates from all backgrounds and as a Disability Confident employer we are committed to offer an interview to disabled candidates who meet the minimum criteria for the role.#J-18808-Ljbffr
