Position OverviewSupport high quality teaching and learning across Primary and Secondary phases as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, leading small group instruction, providing targeted interventions, and offering occasional class cover. You will help raise attainment, embed safeguarding and inclusion, and contribute to a positive, well managed classroom environment.

Job Type
Full-timeKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver planned small group sessions and targeted interventions across core subjects.
Provide occasional class cover, following teacher plans and maintaining behavior standards.
Support assessment for learning, track pupil progress, and provide feedback to teachers.
Assist with differentiation, SEN and EAL support, and individualized education plans.
Prepare resources, displays, and learning materials; support use of classroom technology.
Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive behavior in line with school policies.
Supervise students during transitions, breaks, trips, and extracurricular activities.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and communication with staff and parents.
Contribute to CPD, reflective practice, and whole school with duties related to the opening of new year groups and campus needs.
Ideal ProfileStrong communication skills with excellent written and spoken English.
Proven experience supporting teaching and learning in a school setting.
Comfortable leading small groups and providing occasional whole class cover.
Organized, adaptable, and calm under pressure with strong pupil literate and confident with educational platforms and classroom devices.
HLTA certification or relevant teaching assistant qualification preferred.
Skills SetSmall group instruction, intervention planning, and progress monitoring.
SEN and EAL support strategies and behavior management.
Safeguarding, supervision, and risk awareness.
Resource preparation, classroom administration, and record keeping.
Collaboration with teachers, phase leaders, and parents.
