The position evaluates operational and financial information to ensure gas assets are managed in accordance with corporate objectives, concession requirements, approved budgets, and upstream production commitments. The role connects operational performance with business and financial planning, enabling management to identify production constraints, expenditure trends, optimization opportunities, and strategic actions. Its contribution supports efficient resource utilization, disciplined cost management, production target achievement, and long-term asset value.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate business issues affecting gas assets and recommend actions aligned with corporate objectives.
Review asset performance and identify opportunities to improve operational and financial efficiency.
Advise management on resource utilization and economic optimization across gas assets.
Analyze operational, production, budget, and strategic performance comprehensive feedback to Gas Assets management on business and operational performance.
Assess requirements raised by internal and external stakeholders and incorporate them into asset planning activities.
Prepare regular updates covering asset performance, expenditure progress, production delivery, and optimization performance against approved gas production targets and identify potential delivery gaps.
Highlight production risks, constraints, and emerging issues requiring management attention.
Develop recommendations supporting achievement of upstream gas production management with business options related to operations, production, performance improvement, and asset gas asset operating plans to ensure alignment with approved objectives and corporate requirements.
Review production work plans and assess their ability to support required production targets.
Evaluate capital and operating budgets and recommend adjustments where necessary.
Review asset-led evaluations and provide recommendations in line with ADNOC interests and guidelines.
Analyze annual business plans and ensure operational, financial, and strategic assumptions are appropriately inputs required for annual business and financial planning cycles.
Review expenditure forecasts and compare actual performance against approved budgets.
Identify significant cost deviations and recommend corrective measures.
Support development of cost optimization initiatives without compromising production, integrity, or HSE requirements.
Evaluate alternative operational and investment scenarios to support management decisions.
Support concession governance through structured performance, planning, and business analysis.
Maintain visibility of key asset commitments, production obligations, expenditure plans, and strategic priorities.
Coordinate with finance, operations, production, planning, and technical teams to ensure consistent asset business and operational inputs from relevant functions for management review.
Support preparation of asset performance dashboards and management reporting.
Monitor strategic initiatives and provide updates on implementation progress.
Analyze trends affecting gas asset performance and recommend practical improvement opportunities.
Support resource planning to ensure efficient allocation of people, budget, and operational capacity.
Contribute to business cases, strategic reviews, and management planning assumptions reflect current operational realities and business priorities.
