Salary:
AED 6,000–9,000Position Overview: The Art Teacher–Upper Primary will support students in developing creativity, imagination, critical thinking, and practical artistic skills through structured lessons aligned with British Curriculum standards. The role contributes to a positive school learning culture by helping students explore different art forms, build confidence in self-expression, maintain portfolios, and participate in exhibitions, displays, and creative school activities.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art lessons for Year 5, Year 6, and Year 7 students.
Align lesson delivery with British Curriculum standards and school academic student creativity, imagination, self-expression, and appreciation of visual arts.
Teach a range of art techniques using drawing, painting, design, craft, mixed media, and other suitable art forms.
Support students in developing artistic skills, creative confidence, critical thinking, and visual presentation abilities.
Assess student work regularly and provide constructive feedback to improve artistic progress.
Maintain student portfolios, assessment records, lesson plans, and classroom documentation classroom displays, exhibitions, art activities, and creative showcases that reflect student learning.
Differentiate instruction to support students with varied learning needs, abilities, and creative confidence levels.
Maintain classroom discipline and positive routines in line with school policies.
Ensure safe handling of art materials, equipment, tools, and classroom resources.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, the Head of Department, and school leadership regarding student progress.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, school events, and academic activities.
Support the school’s vision, mission, values, and commitment to student-centred learning.
Ideal ProfileBachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or Art Education is qualification or teaching licence is required.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a similar art teaching role.
Experience teaching the British Curriculum will be preferred.
Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students planning, organisation, assessment, and portfolio management skills.
Strong knowledge of art techniques, classroom displays, student projects, and creative learning methods.
Ability to create an inclusive learning environment for Year 5, Year 6, and Year 7 students.
Professional attitude with commitment to school policies, academic standards, and student development.
