We are seeking an experienced VP of Investigations Audit to lead complex internal audit engagements, fraud investigations and special reviews within a Financial environment. This role will play a key part in identifying control weaknesses, strengthening operational risk management and ensuring robust governance across the institution.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements- Fraud Investigations & Special Reviews: Lead complex investigations and targeted reviews, identify control failures, establish root causes and recommend effective remedial actions.
- Minimum 10 years of internal audit experience within finance with strong expertise in operational controls, risk-based auditing and operations.
- Trade Finance: Strong knowledge of trade finance operations, SWIFT payments, corporate banking processes and their associated operational risks.
- Audit Leadership: Manage audit teams, oversee end-to-end audit engagements and contribute to the development and execution of risk-based audit plans.
- Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Present audit findings and recommendations to senior management and executive committees, challenge existing practices and engage with regulatory stakeholders.
- Risk & Internal Controls: Demonstrate a strong understanding of risk frameworks, regulatory requirements, operational risk and control environments.
- Reporting & Remediation: Produce high-quality audit reports, provide practical recommendations and monitor corrective actions through to completion.
- Professional Qualifications: CA, CPA, CIA or an equivalent professional audit qualification, with knowledge of Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS) and recognised banking audit methodologies.
