There are important activities happening above and below the wing to ensure our airport operations always run smoothly, efficiently and safely.As an EK Ground Dispatcher, you will coordinate all functions of each aircraft turnaround, driving and motivating those involved to achieve safe and punctual departures of Emirates flights whilst maximizing the payload in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Act as the primary point of contact at the aircraft for all Group stakeholders and external agencies such as DNATA, DCA Flight Operations and Service Delivery.In this role, you will:Make decisions on key operational issues such as the offload of passengers and/or baggage and cargo to ensure the Emirates flight schedule is maintained in accordance with the published precision timing schedule (PTS). The Dispatcher takes accountability for, and has authority to make decisions on the acceptance of last minute or delayed loads that could potentially delay flight departures. The Dispatcher follows the flight briefing and establishes, in consultation with the Emirates Hub Control Duty Manager, when a delay is acceptable operationally and commercially.Ensure safety compliance standards are practiced by all Ground Service providers involved in activities on or around the Emirates aircraft. The Dispatcher is accountable to ensure that any unsafe practices are immediately ceased and reported via Ground Safety Reports so that corrective and preventative actions can be implemented to reduce risk.Reconcile all passenger and deadload details against actual loading/boarding and account for them on the flight Load Sheet prior to release of the aircraft. The Dispatcher has authority to delay the departure of the flight until all figures are correctly accounted on flight documents.Plan a strategy for flight departures prior to commencing any precision timing activities after seeking and interpreting a full flight briefing (e.g. enroute restrictions, flight crew limitations) via the Emirates Hub Control Centre. Conduct a briefing to all stakeholders involved in the flight departure and establish any operational shortfalls, organizing immediate remedial solutions within acceptable standards for an on-time departure.Oversee the departure flight process by leading Emirates and dnata teams with a proactive, can-do approach that inspires colleagues. Continuously seek to optimize on-time performance and maximize payload.Build and maintain relationships with key flight handling partners, including fueling companies, Dnata, and Emirates flight catering, to identify and recommend enhancements to safety and security procedures. Regularly provide feedback to EKAS Operations Services Management to ensure the airline upholds industry-leading operational standards.Have full autonomy in the allocation of delay codes and timings for any off-schedule departures. This is done by thoroughly investigating PTS schedule failures to assess accurate trends for future service level improvements.Qualification5 years experience in Airport Operations10 years schooling or equivalentSuccessful completion of the Emirates Principles of weight and balance and/or Advanced Load Control training or external equivalent is a desirable qualification.Applicants must possess a driving license approved by their home country.Experience in Airline Handling in one or more core areas such as cargo load control, passenger services, or ramp in a major international airport.Previous experience in coaching on either a formal or informal basis is essential for operating in a training role.Ability to work under pressure.Leadership capability and the ability to act as a role model for new and junior staff in a training role is essential.Ability to work at height in a noisy environment.At Emirates Group, we’re committed to providing our employees with opportunities to grow and develop their careers.
