About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Point of Sale Integration Specialist to design, implement, and maintain integrations between point-of-sale (POS) systems and business applications. The successful candidate will connect POS platforms with payment gateways, inventory management systems, accounting software, customer relationship management platforms, and e-commerce solutions to improve transaction accuracy, operational efficiency, and business visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement POS integrations for retail, hospitality, restaurant, and other transaction-based business environments. Integrate POS platforms with payment gateways, inventory systems, ERP solutions, CRM platforms, accounting software, and e-commerce applications. Develop and maintain API integrations, webhooks, data synchronization processes, and middleware components. Configure transaction workflows covering sales, refunds, discounts, promotions, taxes, receipts, and payment reconciliation. Troubleshoot integration failures, transaction discrepancies, synchronization errors, and connectivity issues. Ensure accurate synchronization of product catalogs, pricing, stock levels, customer records, and sales transactions across connected systems. Collaborate with POS vendors, software developers, operations teams, and business stakeholders to resolve technical issues. Implement integration testing, monitoring, logging, and error-recovery mechanisms to improve system reliability. Support secure payment processing and appropriate protection of transaction and customer data. Document integration architecture, configuration procedures, technical specifications, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. At least 5-8 years of experience in POS systems, software integration, payment technology, or enterprise application development. Strong understanding of POS architecture, transaction processing, retail systems, and hospitality technology. Experience integrating POS platforms with payment gateways, inventory management systems, ERP solutions, and accounting applications. Proficiency in REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and programming or scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#. Familiarity with POS platforms such as Oracle MICROS, NCR, Lightspeed, Square, Toast, or comparable systems. Knowledge of databases, SQL, middleware, data mapping, and synchronization techniques. Understanding of payment security, access controls, and PCI DSS considerations where payment card data is involved. Experience with integration testing, production troubleshooting, monitoring, and incident resolution. Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with distributed teams in a remote environment.
